One day Spyder noticed the old Massey Ferguson 85 tractor that had sat idle on the family farm. His father-in-law purchased it in the early 1960s, but in recent years it sat there almost forgotten. That’s when he decided to bring the tractor to his house to see about getting it to run again.
Spyder says he’s not the most mechanically inclined person, so it took a while. But then one day it happened, the old tractor came back to life and started. Sweet success was his to enjoy. The sound of the old engine running again was music to Spyder’s ears.
Since then, he has done a lot of work on restoring the old tractor with a fresh paint job and other upgrades. Spyder believes it’s a 1959 model year tractor, and he says it’s still a work in progress. But one thing is for sure, the old tractor has gone through a significant transformation from the lonely days of sitting idle back at the family farm.
