This radiator is equipped with an aluminum core, combining the best of lighter weight and optimal cooling efficiency. Because aluminum is stronger and harder than copper, aluminum allows building radiators with larger tube diameters, while still achieving a lighter-weight radiator overall. Larger tube diameter allows for an increased capacity to carry coolant through the core, which means more coolant undergoes the cooling process of heat exchange at any one time. Heat transfer also operates more uniformly because the core is all aluminum without any soldered joints. Because the tubes are generally larger, aluminum core radiators are often designed with fewer tubes, which allows for improved airflow through the core. Aluminum offers exceptional corrosion resistance for a long life.
